The HORNGROUP brand TECALEMIT has been tipped for success at this year’s prestigious APEA awards at Milton Keynes’ Stadium MK on November 22nd.
As a world-wide expert in the professional delivery, filing, transfer and measurement of fuel, oil, grease and other chemicals, TECALEMIT is one of five finalists in the Best Non-Retail Installation category.
The nomination is in recognition of a two-month project completed with distributor VecTec Limited to supply 36 ambulance stations throughout Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire with dispensing pumps and fuel management systems.
After VecTec won the tender, TECALEMIT supplied 38 HDM 60 eco station dispensing systems, with GPRS data transfer to a central location using their HD Manager 8 server software. The regional structure of the installation is a first for the UK.
Brian Mosley’s National Product Sales Manager for TECALEMIT explained: “East Midlands Ambulance Service required that all sites have the same dispensing system, monitored by a fuel management system from a central location, with low fuel stock alerts sent via email to designated addresses.”
The project was tipped for an accolade due its commitment to criteria including its innovative design, ease of use and consideration of environmental impact.
Brian said: “Using the TECALEMIT HDM 60 eco dispensing station with GPRS interface allowed minimum disruption to existing installations. East Midlands Ambulance Service have confirmed that the installations and software package provided everything they required. TECALEMIT are proud to have had this opportunity with Vectec Ltd to provide a quality product and support to our emergency services.”
